Mableton Certifies Election Results - Elects First Mayor and City Council

Cobb County voters in the new city of Mableton have elected their first mayor and city council members. The Cobb County Board of Elections certified the Mableton runoff election results on Monday, April 24, 2023 which confirms who will serve as the new city’s first mayor and council.

ACBR Approves Kimberly Scott to Serve on Atlanta’s Technical Advisory Committee

During the April Board of Directors meeting, board members approved a recommendation from the ACBR Government Affairs and RPAC Committee to appoint Kim Scott to serve as ACBR’s representative on Atlanta's Technical Advisory Committee. Kim is President of Intown Realty, LLC and replaces Rod Mullice with Air Realty Brokerage, LLC. Rod served as ACBR’s representative for 6.5 years.

Forsyth County Commission Begins Review of The Gathering at South Forsyth

The Forsyth County Commission heard a presentation from the developer of the proposed “The Gathering at South Forsyth,” development during their April 25th work session. Plans for the proposed arena and entertainment venue include: 1.6 million square feet of office and retail space, 750,000 square feet of arena space, 100,000 square-foot community center, 7,500 square-foot fire station, 2,400 residential units, Deck parking, 1.2-mile connective trail along the Big Creek Greenway, and a Grocery store.
